The award winning Vivace delivers a reduction of the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and scars while tightening and toning skin. Vivace Microneedling RF is an FDA-cleared minimally-invasive treatment that stimulates the natural production of collagen. It is considered the most revolutionary, best-in-class microneedling RF device available today.
Microneedling is a non-surgical treatment that uses tiny needles to puncture the top layer of the skin, creating micro-injuries that stimulate your body’s healing response to produce natural collagen and elastin.
Vivace combines ultrafine gold tipped microneedles with RF (short for radiofrequency) to dramatically lift, tone, and tighten skin. During treatment the RF energy delivers heat to the underlying layers of the skin, stimulating the body to produce natural collagen and elastin at deeper levels.

How to Prepare for a Vivace Microneedling RF Treatment
Discontinue using acids such as Retin-A, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy, beta hydroxy, and exfoliants for one week prior to each treatment. Discontinue isotretinoin (Accutane) for 12 months prior.
Avoid direct sun on the treatment area for two weeks before your Vivace treatment.
To minimize the likelihood of bruising, stop using blood thinning supplements such as fish oil, CoQ10, Vitamin E, and St John’s Wort for 2 weeks before treatment. Stop using aspirin and NSAIDS (Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, etc) for 3 days before. Avoid drinking alcohol for 48 hours prior to your treatment.
If you have a history of facial cold sores and your face will be treated, take your prescription antiviral before your treatment.
Please come to your appointment with clean skin with all makeup, creams and lotions removed. Also please dress so that you may comfortably and modestly expose the treatment area, when applicable (i.e. decolletage).
What to Expect During a Vivace Treatment
Before your treatment, topical numbing cream will be applied for 30 minutes to minimize discomfort. After removing the numbing cream, the treatment area will be cleansed with alcohol. A few test spots will be made to gauge comfort and your skin’s response to the preliminary settings.
Some describe the treatment as feeling like a mild heating sensation with an occasional, fleeting zap from the microneedles. During the procedure settings will be adjusted for needle depth and energy to be appropriate. Higher energy settings for more pronounced results may be less comfortable. Multiple passes are made at varying needle depths and varying radiofrequency energy levels. You can count on about 30 to 40 minutes per treatment area.
An LED Light Therapy treatment ($50 value at no extra charge) is administered immediately following the Vivace treatment to jump start the healing process. Last, Boost Serum will be applied to the treatment area. Boost Serum contains a powerful blend of tetrapeptides, tripeptides, hexapeptides, and hyaluronic acid that promote healing and collagen synthesis.
You’ll also receive a Soothe Mask to apply at home. The Soothe Mask is an anti-inflammatory cooling fluid wiht hexapeptides and hyaluronic acid to promote fast, effective recovery.
Treatment Appointment Time
The Vivace Microneedling RF treatment is NOT a fast treatment. Appointment for a single treatment area are 90 minutes and 2 hours for two areas.
Numbing Cream: 30 minutes
Multiple Pass Vivace Treatment: 30 to 40 minutes per treatment area
LED Light Therapy: 20 minutes
What to Expect After a Vivace Treatment
For about three days following your treatment, you will likely have some redness, swelling, and sensitivity. Some people say it feels a bit like a sunburn. If your skin is fair, it is likely you’ll stay pink for a day or two longer. You may also have tiny pinprick marks on your skin that crust and flake off.
Because microneedling creates tiny wounds, it is important to follow the post care instructions provided and be especially vigilant in protecting your skin with SPF. Most patients with less aggressive settings return to work or resume social activities after one day after treatment. More aggressive settings for more pronounced results may result in some downtime from social activities.
